  Dr. Sophie Ancelet

Biostatistician-Modeler at the Institut de Radioprotection et de Sureté Nucléaire (IRSN)

Research team: Ionizing radiation EPIDemiology Laboratory (LEPID)

Context: Methodological developments and scientific support to refine the statistical analysis of radio-induced health risks for low doses and dose rates of ionizing radiation.

My research topics in statistics:
       - Stochastical algorithms
       - Quantitative risk assessment
       - Uncertainty modelling/ Models for heterogeneous data
       - Experimental designs
       - Bayesian statistics
       - Spatial statistics

MCMC algorithms, particle algorithms, informative censoring, quantitative risk assessment, hidden Markov random fields, unsupervised spatial classification, Bayesian model choice criteria/ predictive validation, zero-inflated data, expert elicitation, hierarchical models, simulated annealing, Bayesian networks, Monte-Carlo simulation

Statistical methods mainly applied to:

      - Epidemiology of ionizing radiation

but also to:
      - Animal epidemiology
      - Population genetics
      - Fisheries
      - Food risk analysis
